It may be hard to see in this picture, but the Belted Jacket by Juicy Couture is a houndstooth jacket. It has a quilted mandarin collar, six buttons and button-welt pockets at the front, a tie at the waist, a vent at the back, ruching at the shoulders, layered elbow-length sleeves, and is lined. The outer layer is mostly wool while the lining is 100% silk.

We realize it's almost impossible to think about winter coats while it's 90 degrees outside, but we think you'll try once you get a look at the Manhattan Coat by Nanette Lepore. This tweed coat has an off center button at the front, an oversized fold-over collar, pleating at the waist, welt pockets at the hip, three inch cuffs at the long sleeves and is lined. It is sure to be a staple in your winter closet, so jump on it now while you can! Winter and snow will be here before you know it!

The Shirt Snob has found her new favorite jacket! The Jarmon Jacket by BB Dakota is a beautiful indigo blue with short puff sleeves, a hood, front pockets, four buttons down the front, and a removable belt at the waist. It has a slim fit too so it's quite flattering. It's also 100% cotton, so it's not too heavy. Perfect for an air conditioned office!

We've always been fond of army looks, but it's hard to find ones that don't make one look too masculine. Well, we've discovered the French Army Jacket in Wood by LaROK, which is a very feminine take on the army look. This jacket has two button front closures at the bust and two more at the body, a belt at the natural waist that adjusts at the back, short sleeves with gold cuffs at the buttons, and a button closure at the front.

The Shirt Snob has always had a thing for the single button below the bust look. We fell in love with it in high school, and we would wear this look every day if we could. The Safari Blazer by Iisli has that single button, but there's also patch pockets at the front, slits at the cuffs, long sleeves, a notched collar, and it is semi-sheer. It's a great blazer for the warm summer months.

What first drew us to the Aster Double Knit Jacket by Marc by Marc Jacobs was the acorn brown color, which is one of our favorites. It has rickrack trim throughout, striped flap detail at the front welt pockets, striped inset at the cuffs, striped lining, long sleeves, and two vents at the back. This jacket would be stylish way for you to stay warm in those cold, air conditioned rooms this summer.

If you only buy one jacket in the next year, we think the Lidia Jacket by Theory is a good choice. It's so simple and elegant and can be paired with so much. We just love its versatility! It has a scoop neck, gathered elastic banding at the waist, a hidden snap closure at the front, 3/4 length sleeve, and is lined.

The Jo Jacket by Nili Lotan is a smart looking cropped coat that would look great with skinny jeans and a nice blouse. It's made of 100% virgin wool, has a center front placket that conceals large metal snaps and a two way zipper, vertical pockets at the hip, long sleeves, and is fully lined.

We think that a red coat is fun and every woman should have one to spice up their outfits and make a splash when entering the room. The Funnel Neck Coat by Chulo Pony has an orange tinge, so it works great during the fall too. This coat has a waffled texture, a snap funnel neck, matching buttons down the front, front pockets, bell sleevves with foldover and pleating details, a pleated skirt in the back, and a matching built in belt. It's also lined and made from a wool, lambs wool, cashmere, and nylon mix. It's also available in white.

Here's our favorite peacoat of the year! The Solid Wool Felt Coat by Marc by Marc Jacobs is a double breasted felt coat with vertical pockets at the front, six buttons down the front, a notched collar, storm flap at the back, and long sleeves. It's also lined. We love the blue fox color since it's different than every other coat out there, but washed ink melange is nice too.
