New Tees at Threadless

Threadless has some new designs plus some last week that we didn't tell you about due to the holiday. Our favorites are Sing to the Tune of Nature, Aristocrat, and Dragon Flavor.

Tie Back Blouse by Rebecca Taylor

From the front, the Tie Back Blouse by Rebecca Taylor is a simple silk blouse with a square neck. However, it's quite stunning from the back. There's a square back with a satin tie at the top. This blouse also has banding at the neck, pintucking at the shoulders, darting at the bust, an inverted pleat at the cuffs, and elbow length sleeves.

Soul Thing Top by Joie

If you like prints, you'll love the Soul Thing Top by Joie. This top has two inch banding and ruching at the V-neck, two inch straps at the shoulders that tie, and it's semi-sheer. Besides admiral/porcelain, it's also available in grapeade.

Jo Jacket by Nili Lotan

The Jo Jacket by Nili Lotan is a smart looking cropped coat that would look great with skinny jeans and a nice blouse. It's made of 100% virgin wool, has a center front placket that conceals large metal snaps and a two way zipper, vertical pockets at the hip, long sleeves, and is fully lined.

Funnel Neck Coat by Chulo Pony

We think that a red coat is fun and every woman should have one to spice up their outfits and make a splash when entering the room. The Funnel Neck Coat by Chulo Pony has an orange tinge, so it works great during the fall too. This coat has a waffled texture, a snap funnel neck, matching buttons down the front, front pockets, bell sleevves with foldover and pleating details, a pleated skirt in the back, and a matching built in belt. It's also lined and made from a wool, lambs wool, cashmere, and nylon mix. It's also available in white.

Accessory Friday - Paper Planet

Have you noticed that Accessory Friday now includes almost anything except shirts? We've shown our readers a lot of jewelry this fall, so today we've found something different. Paper Planet has some amazing candle holders that we really want. According to their Etsy site, each one is handcrafted using "glass votive holders, semi-transparent handmade papers, and pressed naturals. Because both the handmade papers and the naturals used to create Earth Lights are unique, no two candle holders are alike." They sell out quickly, so instead of linking to our favorites which could be gone by the time you read this, just go to their store and look around. They also sell pretty bookmarks, jewelry, and more.

Solid Wool Felt Coat by Marc by Marc Jacobs

Here's our favorite peacoat of the year! The Solid Wool Felt Coat by Marc by Marc Jacobs is a double breasted felt coat with vertical pockets at the front, six buttons down the front, a notched collar, storm flap at the back, and long sleeves. It's also lined. We love the blue fox color since it's different than every other coat out there, but washed ink melange is nice too.

Deliver Coat at French Connection

If you want something retro looking, there's the Deliver Coat at French Connection. This 50's style coat is very loose fitting with two side pockets, a concealed button placket at the front, ribbed collar, and a single button at the neck. It's made of a wool and acrylic mix.

Black Tie Jacket by Nanette Lepore

Nanette Lepore makes the most elegant pieces! If you are interested in a simple black coat, you should really consider her Black Tie Jacket. It has a double breasted button front, pleating throughout, hidden pockets at the side seams, a rounded collar at the low neck, long sleeves, and is fully lined.

Belted Car Coat by Milly

Our loyal readers have probably noticed that we don't show animal prints here at Shirt Snob. Honestly, we don't really like them. We are going to today though, possibly for the first time because the print on the Belted Car Coat by Milly is gorgeous and not too animally for us. It has oversized black buttons, a removable belt, and two front pockets. It's also 100% wool and is lined.

Next up is another rebe find. The Maryanne Coat has a fold over collar, a single button at the empire waist, long sleeves, and comes down to mid-thigh. It's also made out of recycled cotton fiber and is available in artichoke, black, iris, mahogany, persimmon, and tangerine.

Frayed Pocket Coat by Miss Davenporte

White is not just for summer anymore, which is good for us because we adore the Frayed Pocket Coat by Miss Davenporte. This canvas coat has a fold over collar, tie at the waist, five snap closures at the front, snap flap pockets with frayed edges at the hips, storm flap and inverted pleat at the back, long sleeves, and a silk print lining.

Tweed Jacket by Jovovich-Hawk

Even though fall has passed us by, we still can't get enough of fall colors. The Tweed Jacket by Jovovich-Hawk is the perfect rust color for us! This tweed jacket has an extra wide collar, single jeweled button and loop closure at the neck, hidden hook and eye closure at the front, a detachable belt with a jewel embellished snap closure, jeweled button detailing at the cuffs, long sleeves, and it is 100% wool.

Ikat Coat by Burning Torch

Here's an interesting take on your average black coat. The Ikat Coat by Burning Torch is a black fabric with dashed ecru lines throughout. It has a tailored shape, lining, black rhinestone buttons, front pockets, and seaming and raw edging details. It's made from a cotton and virgin wool blend.

Because Christmas to us really signifies winter and the cold weather settling in, we are going to look at coats this week. First up is the Iris Coat at rebe. This long coat is made out of 100% cotton recycled fiber. It has a shawl collar, empire waistline, and single button at the waist, and long sleeves. It's available in two colors, olive and brown.

Not into long coats? Then the Shrunken Pebbled Wool Jacket by Alexander Wang is for you. This wool jacket has contrasting black wool trim at the hems, two front pockets with flaps, and 3/4 length sleeves. We love the pebbled look!

Beaded Square Neck Top by Matty M

The Beaded Square Neck Top by Matty M is a good investment because you can wear it with a pair of jeans or something more dressy. It has a square neck with sequin beading, ruching at the neck, short sleeves, and a loose fitting body. It's available in black and sapphire, but sapphire is going fast!

Helen Heather Grey Top by Velvet

Looking for something that is metallic but still casual? Try the Helen Heather Grey Top by Velvet. This fitted tee has ruching throughout the bust, an empire waist, and cap sleeves. Looks great with a pair of jeans.

Foiled Camisole by Rebecca Taylor

This is probably our favorite metallic top we've seen all year! The Foiled Camisole by Rebecca Taylor has pleating at the front, ruching and a bow at the back, adjustable spaghetti straps that cross in the back, and a lining. It's simple and pretty, and we love how the print is metallic but the rest isn't. It's be great for New Year's Eve if you are still in need of a top for that night.

Cashmere Baby Doll Sweater by Alisha Levine

Everyone loves cashmere! Here's a cute sweater, the Cashmere Baby Doll Sweater by Alisha Levine. This top has a scoop neck, ribbing at the neck, bottom hem, and cuffs, long sleeves, and an empire waist. It's available in ivory, camel, and black, although ivory is almost out!

Accessory Friday - Made With Molecules

Women really get the shaft when it comes to geeky gifts. Outside of ThinkGeek, where is a woman to buy funny and geeky things for herself? We've just found Made With Molecules, and we are thrilled to have discovered them! The designer is a scientist turned artist, and her pieces are both aesthetically pleasing and have functions that suggest a symbolic meaning. Some of our favorites at this store include the Science Bracelet, the Estrogen Necklace, the Chocolate Theobromine Molecule Earrings, and the Serotonin Necklace.

Scarlet Begonias Blouse by Joie

We realize it's a little early, but the Scarlet Begonias Blouse by Joie seems like a good option as Valentine's Day inches closer. Available in admiral and beet, this sheer voile top has eight buttons and lace insets at the front, lace trim at the edges, pintucking at the front and back, a drawstring at the scoop neck and waist, elastic banding and ruffle trim at the cuffs and short sleeves. It's a busy top, but it's beautiful and sexy, definitely one that your significant other will love!

Pleated Bustier Top by Alice + Olivia

Here's something we don't see every day! The Pleated Bustier Top by Alice + Olivia is quite interesting with tiny pleating at the bodice that opens up in the body of the top. There's also twisted banding at the empire waist, halter straps that tie behind the neck, boning at the bustier lining, and a hidden side zipper. It's also 100% silk. If you like it, you may also appreciate the Pleated Bustier Dress which is quite similar but purple.

Polly Jean Sweater by Jovovich-Hawk

Need a cover up to go with your cocktail dress? The Polly Jean Sweater by Jovovich-Hawk is our pick. This cashmere cardigan has contrast rickrack trim and tie at the crew neck, ribbed banding at the bottom hem, ribbed banding and rickrack trim at the cuffs, double hook and eye closure at the front, and 3/4 length puff sleeves. It's elegant and beautiful.

Maui Momma Top by Free People

The Maui Momma Top by Free People is not like other tops out there, so we can't help but adore it! This off the shoulder top has tank straps and elastic banding along the top. There's also short sleeves and tiny ruffles along the top. It's also made of wool and cashmere, so it's warmer than it looks too! Available in black and teal.

Ruffle Sleeve Top by Generra

We love the fun swirly print of the Ruffle Sleeve Top by Generra. This sheet top has a split V-neck, ruffle trim at the cuffs, ruching at the bust and back, and short sleeves. We think it looks like a lot of fun to wear, whether it be on vacation or this spring.

Floral Beaded Top by Alice + Olivia

With New Year's Eve quickly approaching, have you thought about what you are wearing? We like the sparkle of the Floral Beaded Top by Alice + Olivia. This silk tank has beading throughout as well as a V-neck, elastic banding at the hem, and pleated straps that cross in the back. It's also lined. It'd look good with any sort of bottom, so you could wear it if your party is casual or dressy.

Blooming Poppies Racerback by Free People

No one does floral prints like Free People. The Blooming Poppies Racerback is a perfect example. This racerback top has ruching and elastic banding at the empire waist, contrast banding at the neck and straps, elastic banding at the cuffs, 3/4 length sleeves, and a ring at the racerback. You can wear this tank on its own or with a number of different tops underneath it for a variety of different looks. Available in black, taupe, and coral.

Recently, Defunker became a part of Busted Tees. They were always somewhat connected, but now both are being sold on the same site. Defunker has also come out with new designs today. We really like Plane Tree.

What makes the Banded Bottom Top by Generra stand out to us are the beautiful colors it is available in that really pop out and look so inviting, boisenberry and coconut. We want this top in both colors! This tank has ribbed banding at the scoop neck and bottom hem, no sleeves, and is silk with a bit of spandex to make it stretchy.

Fitted Cardigan by Rebecca Taylor

We think you could get a lot of use out of the Fitted Cardigan by Rebecca Taylor. It's so adorable, you'll find yourself wearing it with everything! This silk and cashmere mix has beading at the crew neck, seven buttons down the front with buttons similar to the beading, ribbon trim at the placket, and long sleeves. It's versatile and pretty, a perfect combination!

Snoozer Loser NY is an Etsy store that has a lot of beautiful tops. We mostly find jewelry and baby clothes that we like at Etsy, so we are quite happy to discover them. Some of our favorite pieces include The Sophie, The Ava, and The Isabel. By buying at Snoozer Loser you can practically guarantee that you'll be the only person you know with your top, and you can feel good about supporting an independent designer.

Review: Medicated Clothing

Medicated Clothing is a new independent t-shirt company that has limited print designs. They were founded by a woman named Jamie who creates the designs and runs the website. A goal of theirs was to make designs that culd stand alone as artwork. Here's what the company says about themselves:

As the weather gets colder, the Shirt Snob becomes much more interested in comfort. The My All Hooded Sweater by Joie calls out to us, it looks so comfortable and easy. This sweater has a hood, crossover V-neck, ribbed banding at the edges, and long sleeves. It's available in caviar and navy, and we think it'd be perfect for a quick run to the store with a cute pair of jeans.

Huntress Top by Joie

We love simple looking tops that are available in many different colors so we can buy them up in every one! The Huntress Top by Joie has a scoop neck with ruching at the bust and back, a button at the cuffs, sleeves that can be work at 3/4 length or long, and is semi-sheer. Best of all, it's available in four colors: admiral, artichoke, beet, and porcelain.

Remy Sweater by Diane von Furstenberg

If you want a chunky sweater without too much bulk, we think the Remy Sweater by Diane von Furstenberg is perfect for you. This wool and angora sweater has an off-center two button closure at the turtleneck, cable detail throughout, ruching at the back, two button closure at the cuffs, and long sleeves. It's available in chocolate and ivory.

Red Sox Tee

Our apologies if you don't care, but we were more than a little excited back in October when the Red Sox won the World Series. We just found the We Did It Again tee, and we had to write about it. This short sleeve shirt has 07 on the lest sleeve, and the words are written in Swarovski crystal. A portion of each sale also goes to Curt Schillings' Pitch for ALS and the SHADE Foundation. So you can totally justify buying this awesome tee if you are a fan. Sizes run small, so if in doubt buy a size up.

Klub Retro

Klub Retro is a t-shirt company out of Australia that is vintage inspired. They are all about the 80s, so if you are an 80s fan you should check them out. They have mens, womens, and kids tees as well as hoodies (they call them jumpers), shorts, accessories, and even a few truly vintage tees. Some of our favorites include MC Hammer Tee, Country Music Tee, and Walk Like an Egyptian.

Accessory Friday - Starry Designs

The Shirt Snob happened to come upon Starry Designs while browsing at Etsy, and we are quite impressed. They have birds nest design that they have placed on many different items that we adore. Some examples are the Oxidized Birds Nest Earrings, the Birds Nest Pendant, and the Birds Nest Ring. This store has other nice jewelry items as well.

There are always so many great finds at Free People! Their Embroidered Flowerbed Top is a cute blouse with a bohemian feel.
