Here's a great cashmere sweater, the Katie Striped Tunic by C&C California. This 100% cashmere top is 30 inches long with a deep V neck, banding at the neck, bottom hem, and cuffs, and 3/4 length, belled sleeves. Available in coco/charcoal, coco/coral, heather grey/charcoal, coco, and charcoal. We're seeing stripes everywhere, so why not get them in cashmere too?
November 30, 2006
If you were interested in the cashmere hoodie we showed you yesterday but are looking for something a little less out there, consider the Cashmere Hoodie by Vince. Made of 100% cashmere, this top has pouch pockets at the front, a zipper closure, and ribbed banding at the pockets, neck, cuffs, and bottom hem. It comes in six colors, and it'd be a great way to cover up when it's a little cold.
November 30, 2006
We want to inform you of two more big sales. The first is at Active Endeavors. You can save up to 50% off fall styles, such as Susana Monaco, Rebecca Taylor, and more. This is in addition to 20% off on non-sale items, a deal that ends on December 24. Use the coupon code "thankyou" at check out for this deal to apply.
Also, at Playhouse Clothing, you can get 20% off your order (minus sale items) by using the code "saveholiday" at check out. This deal ends on December 4.

There's a new tee over at Nerdy Shirts that we really like, Nintendo Family Tree. We grew up with the original Nintendo and Game Boy, so this is a little nostalgic for us. We haven't played for a while (and aren't too sure how to even pronounce Wii), but this brings back good memories.
This next sweater looks very comfortable. The Cashmere Deep V Ribbed Collar Sweater is 100% cashmere, has a large collar that can be scrunched or folded down and ribbed trim along the cuffs, collar, and bottom hem. Available in charcoal, lavendar, and maroon.
Interested in your cashmere a little more funky than what we've shown you so far? Consider the Cashmere Hoodie from L.A.M.B. Made from a cashmere and viscose blend, this sweater has a zipper down the front, pouch pockets, and ribbed banding at the cuffs, bottom hem, pockets, and hood. It's available in two different designs, leopard and multi.
November 28, 2006
Maybe you remember Bedlam Clothing, whom we wrote about last August? Well, they are having a huge sale right now. All their remaining stock is $6. They also have more tee designs and more pictures so you can get a better idea of what each tee looks like. With a sale like this, the Shirt Snob thinks you might want to buy up a ton of tees and give them out as presents whenever you need one.
Oddica is having a holiday sale. Now each tee is $15, two are $28, and three or more are $13 each. They'll also send you a special bag for each tee that is a gift. This is a good stop for holiday shopping, so take advantage of this deal!
Let's look at another white sweater. The Drop Neck Sweater by Ya-Ya is also 100% cashmere with extra long sleeves, contrast ribbed detailing at the bottom, is semi-sheer, and has the wide collar draping over the chest. Not everyone can pull off such a look, but for those of you that like these necks, this is the sweater for you.
The Cashmere Sweater with Sleeve Detail by Karl Lagerfeld is a little weird in that it has an oversized thumbhole at the cuffs. This is the type of thing that would bug some, but personally we would love it. This 100% cashmere sweater also has rolled edges at the shoulders and scoop neck, ribbed banding at the rounded bottom hem, and is semi-sheer.
November 27, 2006
There have been more tees released over at Threadless that we'd like to update you on. Our favorites are mmmh.. Delicious and Good Intentions as well as the reprints Meat is Murder. Tasty, Tasty Murder, Lil' Soap, and She Doesnt Even Realize. Don't forget that some designs are being printed on hoodies and in children's sizes, and you can browse by size (links on the front page).
The Shirt Snob's seen a lot of vests lately. We haven't really written about any because we haven't seen many that we like that much. But this one is nice. The Fitted Cashmere Vest by adam+eve has five buttons down the front, welt pockets above the hips with a button on each, and ribbed banding at the edges. We really like how it's paired with a simple long sleeved top like in the picture. It's a nice way to make a simple shirt more interesting. Available in heather grey and black.
Happy Monday readers! We hope you had a great long weekend! Since last week was a casual week, we've decided to make this week a little bit dressier. We are going to write all about cashmere! We'll throw in a few t-shirt and sale updates when we find them, but besides that it's all cashmere!
To start off the week, let's look at the Basic Cashmere Sweater Coat by Juicy Couture. Made of 100% cashmere, this long sweater has five buttons at the front and a tie at the waist. There is ribbed banding at the edges, long sleeves, and a shawl collar. It's available in three colors: dove, carmel, and black.
November 24, 2006
There are two new tees over at Snorg Tees. They won't be available for another week, but you can preorder them now. They are Celebrate Diversity and Making Spirits Bright, a great way to celebrate the upcoming holidays.
We don't show you enough hoodies here at Shirt Snob. We really want to, but for some reason we don't find ones that we love that often. But here is a good one, the Bird Hoodie by Morris & Essex. Printed on American Apparel, this cotton hoodie has a bird on a branch on the front right and a tree screenprinted on the back. It has a zipper going up the front. We think it's a cute way to bundle up a bit in the fall air or to wear after a work out.
Shivtees is a t-shirt company that has some funny ideas. The company is run by a single guy who decided to design tees after deciding there weren't enough funny tees out there. Some of the designs we like include Killer Whale, Popcorn Tragedy, Seven Ate Nine, and Gingerbread Cannibalism. Each design comes in a few different colors, both men's and women's sizes, as well as in a hoodie.
Our editors have been hard at work coming up with the latest products to give as gifts this holiday season. Each of our different sites has their own holiday gift guide on various topics including: shaving, hdtv, gps, gaming, coffee and espresso, kitchen gadgets, cookbooks, and more.
Make your holiday gift giving easier this season by visiting the holiday shopping guides below, and get your shopping done online without the crowds and hassle of ever leaving your comfy couch or computer chair.

It's not very often that the Shirt Snob laughs out loud when spotting a t-shirt, but we must say we did when we first saw Everybody Loves Ramen from Toasty Tees. This company just recently started, and they have six designs for sale right now. Each is available in a few different sizes and colors for both men and women. Other designs we like include the Recycling tee and Pawned.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Wow, there are sales all over the place right now. We just found out about another. Remember Maneater Threads, who we wrote about last March? They are having a huge sale right now. You can get 25% off by using the code "holidays06" at check out. This even works on their sale items, so you can get a ton of savings. The sale November 30, so get over there before it's too late! Some tops the Shirt Snob likes include the Paula Top by Rami Kashou and the Constellation Embroidered Kimono Top by Burning Torch.
The Shirt Snob just discovered Ravenswood, a new t-shirt shop online. Right now they have six tees for sale that are all cute, our favorite definitely being the Takeoff tee. It reminds us of something, like an ad we saw in the 80s or something like that. But whatever it is, it feels awfully homey to us! Birds and Stars is also very pretty too. We will be doing a review for Ravenswood shortly as well, so stay tuned!
November 21, 2006
The Shirt Snob was lucky enough to receive a tee to review from bub love, a site that makes "hip tees for moms, dads & bubs." And as we're a mother, we couldn't be happier to have one of these tees. Bub love is run by a mother who started making tees for her son after not seeing many cute ones on the market. Quickly her homemade tees drew attention, so she started a business designing tees so that other babies would have cute clothing as well.
To begin with, the packaging is cute. Our shirt came in a brown paper bag with a clear plastic center where the design shows through. We received the love your bub design, which is brown with caremel colored ink. It is printed on American Apparel, which our loyal readers will know we love. We are wondering if the tee seems a little longer than we remember them being, but it fits well and is very comfy.
Besides tees for the parents, there are a bunch for the little ones. They have sizes starting at 6 months and going right on up until the kids are wearing adult sizes. Many of the children's tees have emotions on them too, so you can let the world know you have a happy bub, a cranky bub, or a precious bub. They also have a bag for sale as well.
The customer service is also wonderful. It is a small enough company that they really care about how you feel, and you are a real customer to them, not just a number or order. They are very nice and easy to order from. We recommend them wholeheartedly!
Also, make sure to read our review of a baby tee from bub love over at Super Cool Baby!
There are two more sales we need to tell you about. The first is at Active Endeavors. Get 20% off non-sale items between now and December 24. Use the coupon code "thankyou" at check out for this deal to apply.
Shop Rapunzels is also having a 20% off sale. Use the code "friends1106" at check out. This deal ends November 25.
There's yet another new t-shirt clothing line that we'd like to tell you all about. We discovered them over the summer, but for the longest time you couldn't buy their tees online. Finally you can! Retro Rags is a t-shirt site that has designs that are centered around entertainment spots of the past. They have four cities that they use as inspiration for their designs (Chicago, Detroit, New York, and LA), and as the Shirt Snob lives in Boston, we don't know much about any of these places. However, if you live in one of these cities or are familiar with them, we think they might interest you. We like the designs either way. Our favorites include Tequila Mockingbird, Moby's Dock, The Good Times Bar, and Edna Earle's Cocktails. They also sell men's tees and are giving away a free tee a day as well.
An update on Threadless. They have a few more tees out, and we really like Since Forever and Burnout. Remember, they have new tees every day. So be sure to check back every day so you can see what's new.
November 20, 2006
Oddica has some new tees out, and we really like one of them, Rainbird. The bird is so cute! This is also a great place to buy tees for any guys you have to buy for this holiday season!
Fabric 8 has some new tees out. The Shirt Snob likes Multi Colores Tee, Familia Faces Tee, Skullflower Tee, and Flowering Heart Tee. They also have some new men's tees as well.
Shop Bop wants you to buy your holiday presents from them! They are making it hard to resist, for you'll receive $20 off orders of $100 or more, $50 off orders of $250 or more, and $100 off orders of $500 or more. Use the code "GETGIFT" at check out. Sale ends on November 27 at midnight EST.
We're going to make this week a casual week as the Shirt Snob thinks holidays are a great time to stay inside with family wearing what we all feel the most comfortable in. Next week we'll be back to our normal mix of shirts, but for now, enjoy a short week of relaxed tops! Agui is a t-shirt company that makes shirts that represent art from different regions of the world. Their first stop is Mexico, and they have a four great tees in this collection. We really like Guadalupe and Libertad the most, but they are all good designs. You can also be a bit creative with their tees as each is available in five or six colors. They also sell men's tees. Agui's next collection will be Byzantine, and we can't wait to see what it includes!
November 19, 2006
As you all know, Threadless is coming out with new tees every day for 30 days, and all their tees are $10. Some of their new stuff includes Kabuki Rider, Watch the Snow Fall (available in long sleeved tees too), and Happy Harvest. Reprins include Blow With the Wind now on a hoodie, Pillow Fight, Calling Home, and So Far This is the Oldest I've Ever Been.
November 18, 2006
Pink Mascara has added more items to their Winter Sale. You can save up to 75% off the original prices, and they are having free shipping this holiday season. Don't forget you'll need something cute to wear for New Year's Eve, it's not as far away as you might think!
November 17, 2006
We know that as it's no longer October, it's also not Breast Cancer Awareness Month. However, we found a beautiful necklace that is donating 15% of the sale price to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, so we thought we had to show it to you. The Pink Opal Touchstone Necklace from Fragments is a "a multi-faceted pink opal wrapped with delicate freshwater pearls and gold beading suspended on a 22” 14K gold vermeil hoop chain with heart-shaped clasp." The Shirt Snob doesn't think we've ever seen something so stunning. Consider helping out a bit more with breast cancer research by buying this stunning piece.
The Shirt Snob loves this print, probably because we were recently looking for black and white clothes, and this would have been perfect. The Floral Satin Blouse by Tracy Reese is 100% silk, has an empire waist, a belt that can be tied in the front or back, a V-neck, and short sleeves.
November 16, 2006
There's another shirt company out there that lets you design your own tee specifically for you. DNA Stylelab allows you to choose between a long and short sleeved tee, each having a variety of colors you can choose from as well. Then you choose your design from a bunch of different artists. You can make the design as big or as small as you'd like, place it where you want to, you can play around with the colors, and you can even place more than one design on each tee. For those of you who like to be creative, this is a ton of fun. They also sell men's tees, clocks, mouse pads, coasters, and wall art.
Here's an interesting shirt, the Bamboo Angel Tunic by Undesigned. Made of 95% bamboo (and 5% spandex), which is something you rarely see, this top has a cowl neck in the front, 3/4 length sleeves with a slight bell shape, and it hangs down to the upper thigh. You could also reverse the top so that the cowl neck is at the back instead of the front.
November 15, 2006
Get 20% off all Juicy Couture not already on sale at Shopbop now through November 19. Use the code "SayJuicy" at check out for the sale to work.
If you need something cute in the warmer weather, we think the Solid Silk Twill Cami with Beading by Rebecca Taylor will do the trick. Made of 100% silk, this halter top has ruching at the bust, elastic banding at the back, a hidden zipper, and spaghetti straps that tie behind the neck. It is lined at the bust, and there is flower detailing with rhinestones and beads at the bust as well. Available in two colors, sapphire and jet.
Looking for something really casual to lounge around in? We really like the Death Cloud Sweatshirt by Fjord. It is made of a soft jersey cotton blend with a refined, tailored fit, and there are skulls inside of clouds on the front. We think it's a cute way to look a little dark.
There is a new tee at Nerdy Shirts this week, Free Hugs. If you're friendly and like giving people hugs, this tee is for you. If you're a little more introverted and don't like to be touched, maybe you should consider another tee. Nerdy Shirts is also having a sale on their tee I Heart Nerds for the next seven days.
All tees at Busted Tees are on sale for a week only. Use the code "TURKEY" at check out, and each tee is only $13.99. This expires on November 21 at midnight, so start your holiday shopping now before it's too late!
November 14, 2006
For the holidays, Threadless is selling all their tees at $10. We aren't sure how long it's going to last, maybe 30 days as this is for their 30 Days of Threadless. But maybe the 30 refers to how they are releasing new tees every day for 30 days. Right now, Threadless has a winner for their The Last Kiss Loves Threadless contest, and there's a picture of Zach Braff wearing it. We also like the reprints Haikus are Easy But..., Loch Ness Imposter, and Lost a Wheel. Also, Threadless is holding a contest to win every tee they make, reprints included, for all of 2007. That's over 550 shirts. Just go to the Loves Threadless page and click the "Count me in!" button under the Threadless Three-Six-Five icon while you are signed in. As an added bonus, every time you buy a tee or hoodie between now and December 13, you'll be added into the drawing pool again.
We just discovered yet another t-shirt company. Fabric 8 sells a bunch of t-shirts for women with some great designs. We really like the Fresa Top, the Japan Tee, and the Me Estas Matando Corazon Tee. We just wish we knew what all the Spanish (it is Spanish right?) meant. Fabric 8 also sells bags, hats and scarves, hoodies (check out the Mod Power Ring Hoodie), and men's tees.
We wanted to remind you that Lucky Magazine has teamed up with Sway & Cake! Get 25% off at Sway and Cake by using the code "luckymag" at check out. This deal lasts only until November 30th!
November 13, 2006
The Shirt Snob is going to be giving away a Threadless t-shirt every few weeks for at least the rest of the year. All you have to do to be entered is sign up for our mailing list. If you are already signed up, you're already entered to win! The first tee is Nineteen Seventy Five in medium, which is currently out of stock in all sizes. We will be choosing our winner randomly two weeks from today, so make sure to enter by then if you are interested.
We really love the Eve Wrap by Karanina because you can do so much with it. There is an extra long tie and multiple loops at the front, so you can use the tie at your waist, near the neck, on your neck, or other places. This wrap is also semi-sheer, has pleating behind the neck, and has long sleeves.
November 10, 2006
We all know it's easy to start using the address labels you get from different non profit organizations who want money, especially this time of year as you get a ton in the mail. But really, there isn't much stylish about that. So when we discovered the address labels from Iomoi, we realized that we really should have prettier ones. They sell a ton, including holiday styles, animal prints styles, ocean styles, pregnant and new mom styles, animal styles, and just cool ones in a variety of different colors and patterns. We think this is a great way to express your personality in a way other than your clothing. Iomoi also sells stationary, invitations and announcements, photo cards, calling cards, and more. Thanks to Cool Mom Picks for the link!
For our final shirt of the week, we've chosen the Leather Empire Top by Sky. This soft tank has a reinforced bodice, an empire waist, ruching on the bust and below the waist, braided straps that come together in the back, and wide braided leather trim at the waist. If it's still warm and you need something a little funky in your wardrobe, this might be one to consider.
November 9, 2006
The Shirt Snob has found real vintage tees! Most places just try to make their tees look vintage. But at Vintage Vantage you can get tees that are a little worn, but totally cool. From what we can tell, they put some on ebay, some you can buy off their website, and they print their own tees as well. The problem with buying something vintage is that it's obviously not new, and you also don't have a say on the size. And the sizes don't seem to specify if they are men's or women's except in the shirts they print themselves. But we like them a lot, it's a great idea, and we hope you like them too!
This next item reminds the Shirt Snob of an old sweater we own. It was originally our mother's in the 70s, and this sweater reminds us of a modernized version of it. The Long Circle Shrug by Alice + Olivia is 100% cashmere with verticle cables, pockets at the hip, long sleeves, and large banding at the shawl collar and bottom hem and cuffs. It seems just like an update of an old classic, and it's one of our favorites for the winter.
November 8, 2006
Next up for Rebecca Taylor is the Cashmere Cardigan. Made from 100% cashmere, this sweater has a long belt around the waist in a wrap style and scalloped crochet trim along the short sleeves, bottom hem, and neck. You can wear this with almost anything and look stylish and cute.
Let's make today Rebecca Taylor day as we just found a couple new cute ones from this great designer. First up is the Wrap Top with Pin. This beauty is 100% silk with a V-neck, kimono style sleeves, pleats below the waist, a tie at the waist, and a removable jewel encrusted flower. It is available in both black and pink.
November 7, 2006
We'd like to congratulate Tiffany W from Washington for winning the Red Cross necklace. Tiffany reads Shirt Snob to find links to designers and websites that she may not find on her own, and she is very excited about cashmere and tall boots this winter. We'll try to find more cashmere for you as the days get colder, and thank you to everyone who signed up for our newsletter to try to win. We'll be having more giveaways in the upcoming weeks, so keep your eyes posted!
There's a sale going on at Nerdy Shirts just in time for the holidays. For seven days only, all of their tees will be $14.99. You must use the code "procrastination" at check out though. There are only seven more weekends left until Christmas, so we highly suggestion you get as much of your shopping done now as you can. And the easiest way to do that is to buy online and take advantage of sales like this one. Don't be stuck in the mall on December 23rd this year!
There's new stuff at Threadless today. We like Musical Meditation (but in t-shirt form only, we think the hoodie it's printed on as well is a little too white), I Hate Japanese Food, and Unusual Gentleman. They do have two new designs on hoodies and another on a long sleeve tee, and the Shirt Snob is happy to see the variety even if we aren't super thrilled with those designs.
For today only, Busted Tees is selling their only political shirt Stewart/Colbert '08 on sale at $13.99. You must use the code "Election" at check out for the discount to work. Also, there are a few new tees over at Busted Tees: Don't Hassle the Hoff, Acme Looniversity, and Does This Shirt Make Me Look Frat. We must say we don't like the last one, but we've never really understood how frat can be a adjective.
November 6, 2006
We recently learned of another new t-shirt company, Inspire Brand. They are similar to Threadless in that you can submit and score the tees that are submitted. Then of course you can buy tees as well. One thing we really like about this company is that they show you a scale of about how many tees of each size are left, so you know what is popular and what is about to run out. Each design is available in both men's and women's sizes, although some of the women's designs are on tanks only. Each tee is only $15 except their What is Life About tee which is only $5. We really like this one (can't find a name for it), it looks like a Red Cross piggy bank.
Pink Mascara is having a contest. Sign up for their mailing list and you are entered to win a $1000 shopping spree. Ten other lucky winners will each get a $100 gift card. Deadline is December 31.
We found another velvet top that we love. The Velvet Belted Tunic by Generra has a deep crossover V-neck, ruching at the bust and the empire waist, a tie at the waist, and is sleeveless. It's also very soft and a very stylish way to be comfortable!
November 3, 2006
Anne Maa has come out with a new collection of jewelry just in time for the holidays. There are some new rings and necklaces (we love the Amethyst Drusy Necklace) as well as a new Limited Edition colleciton (our favorite being the Rutilated Quartz Ball Ring). Best part is that there is no shipping for Shirt Snob readers! Use the code "shirt" at check out. Thanks Anne Maa! This deal is good until December 31! So besides buying presents for everyone on your holiday list, get something cute for yourself for your New Year's Eve party!
We just discovered a new t-shirt company that sells basic tees and tanks, the staple of every wardrobe. Cherry Tee has four major collections. The Bing Collection is made up of all those basics you need such as camisoles, tanks, V-necks, long sleeved tees, and more, all in a variety of different colors. The Rainier Collection is a little more roomy and has a longer silhouette than the Bing, and every tee is made from super soft cotton. The Logo Collection has Cherry Tee's logo on each shirt, and the R. Nichols Meets Cherry Tee Collection has whimsicle designs on their tees. Cherry Tee also has a Tee of the Month Club as well as a Big Bucket 'O Tanks in which you get either five or ten tanks in a white bucket. They sell tees for men and babies as well. A great place to shop for your basics without breaking the bank!
Shop at Cherry Tee by November 10 and get 10% off your order. Use the code "CTAF10" at check out. They also have free shipping on all orders over $50, but we aren't sure if you can use both at the same time.
November 2, 2006
Looking for something funky to wear under your cute jackets this fall? You should consider the Le Tigre Print Top by Marc by Marc Jacobs. This semi sheer sleeveless top is made of mostly wool, has ruching at the neck and pleating at the crossover back. But what really makes this blouse special is the animal like print. Available in two colors, chocolate chip and red currant.
Here's another kimono top we should have shown you during our Kimono Week a few weeks back. The Courtney V Kimono Top by Ella Moss has banding at the V-neck, elastic banding and a tie at the very low waist, short kimono sleeves, and grommet detail at the neck and tie. It's available in three colors: mink, black and vanilla.
November 1, 2006
It seems that November 1 is the beginning of the holiday season now. Sure, you may see a few winter decorations before now, but once Halloween is over, stores nationwide feel they can really push all that holiday fun. It seems to upset some people who'd rather everyone wait until after Thanksgiving to start the holiday spirit, but the Shirt Snob loves it. We are ready to start our holiday buying now, and we'd prefer to finish buying well before Thanksgiving is over. So of course, we are ready for this new tee from Busted Tees, Don't Stop Believin'. If you celebrate Christmas, this one might be for you!
Fred Flare is having a huge sale as a holiday preview. Get 25% off everything they sell, just use the code "PREVIEW.1106" at check out. This deal ends November 15th. A perfect time to get those two shirts we showed you yesterday.
We aren't too sure how the Shirt Snob has missed Primo Tees so far, but at least found them eventually. We couldn't help but be automatically drawn to the Heads Up Seven Up tee, as it brings back memories of substitute teachers having no idea what to do with us and recess indoors on rainy days. This game was always a favorite of ours, and we can't help but be thrilled to be reminded of it after all these years. There are other funny tees like I'm Huge in Japan and Wally World. Each tee is also printed on American Apparel, so you know they're good quality.
We love this next blouse, it's sensuous without being too over the top. The Nicolette Empire Waist Tie Top by Miguelina is a silk top with lace trim along the V-neck and down the front. There is also ties at the sleeves, a tie at the empire waist, and ruching at the waist and short sleeves. If you like this blouse, you may also like the Loriel Chantilly Lace Top, also by Miguelina.
